The FAS Bookshelf Inc. arose from the frustration experienced while researching and writing a handbook on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. Too much time was spent scrambling to find, order and acquire current information through many different sources. This was time that could have been better used in many other ways including reading and learning about challenges faced by individuals with FAS, their caregivers, their advocates, and their communities.

The FAS Bookshelf Inc. is our attempt to consolidate a variety of resources that may be useful to you at one location so they are easy to find, view, and purchase. By offering these resources, you will be alerted to what is available and you may discover that there are resources that fit your needs so you do not have to “reinvent the wheel.” This means that your time may then be spent on the many other important tasks that fill your day.

The Bookshelf also contains resources on other topics that are not specifically related to FAS. These are merely offerings of resources that you may be looking for. In some cases, you may be pleasantly surprised that what you need is available but you just haven’t been able to find it … until now.
